We have just uploaded the final draft to ModuleBoss.

Today we put the finishing touches to our MIS project. Screenshots were put up and conclusions and recommendations were added. We will email the completed report to each other and once everyone has a look and have agreed on it, we will send it in.

Change in Review

Today I have scrapped my review of IBM Lotus Symphony. Although it is a valid online office suite, it isn't particularily good and I have been struggling to write enough on it. I will now be concentrating my efforts on Open Office. I have a large amount of information on this suite and therefore it will be a lot better and comprehensive of a review. I will discuss this development with the other group members when we meet again.

O'Flaherty on Tuesday 17th November
Present: James McNicholas, Conor Smith, Shane Moran, Michael Diskin

•We discussed where we are with regard to the review of each office suite and how we intend to progress after each analysation is complete.

• We decided to publish the screenshots when in a group as opposed to doing them individually. This allows for a better critique as more people can determine the advantages and disadvantages of each screenshot if we are short on space.

• Our next meeting was not arranged but will be made via email or phone.

Present: James McNicholas, Conor Smith, Shane Moran, Michael Diskin
•We altered the list of online suites we were going to analyse. We swapped OpenOffice with IBM Lotus Symphony. Our final list of suites is now Google Docs, ThinkFree Online, IBM Lotus Symphony, Zoho Office, Glide OS and G.ho.st
• We compared all our notes and decided we’d best concentrate our analysis under the following headings- Cost/Storage, Navigation/Ease of Use, Collaboration and Applications.
• For the next meeting, each member of the group undertook the responsibility of writing a report on a suite- James McNicholas (G.ho.st and IBM lotus Symphony), Conor Smith (Glide OS), Shane Moran (Zoho Office), Michael Diskin (ThinkFree Online and Google Docs).
• The next meeting was arranged for 11 o’clock on Tuesday 17th November.

G.ho.st

Today I have finished my piece of the report donated to G.ho.st. I hope to begin work on IBM lotus symphony tomorrow and then on Monday as a group we will discuss the work done at the weekend and discuss where to go with project after that.

Today as team leader I set up a google docs account and have just invited the other members of Team Actimel to edit our assignment/report. I uploaded the introduction to our report and we now will each add in different sections to the report before meeting again on Monday. On Monday we shall discuss methods to fine tune these sections and also begin talking about conclusions and recommendations for our report.
